The Story
VOYAGER Discovery Set A brings ten fragrance stories together in a format made for exploring. Each 2 mL glass sample opens a different scene, and the complete set contains 20 mL. A book, a flower field, a glass of cola and a softly lit bar all have a place here. Familiar things keep turning up with a new part to play, which makes the collection a cheerful place to follow your curiosity.
Flashbulb begins with the image of a dried Rose between the pages of a book, where flowers meet Paper and warm wood. Bokeh lets its Dandelion seeds drift through a softer scene, while Lens Flare turns towards sunflowers and bright fruit. Star Trails gives warm Coca-Cola an unexpectedly good supporting cast of Lime, spice, Violet and wood. Then Capi Aura takes a seat beside a capybara in a Yuzu-filled onsen, and Luminique brings Lychee, Soju and Melon to the poolside conversation. There is quite a bit of travelling before you have even left these six samples.
The remaining four explore richer textures and the pleasures of food and drink as fragrance ideas. Dimlight gathers Rum, Cardamom, Almond and Tobacco in a warm woody setting. Zantol looks to a Thai santol dessert, with Salt and Sugar framing its fruit. Fluffy Cake follows the airy character of Thai kanom thuay foo through Pandan Leaf, flowers, Milk and a creamy finish. Criollo takes a darker turn at the dessert table, bringing Coffee and Dark Chocolate together with juicy fruit, Honey and earthy Patchouli.
