The Story

Green Fairy means a fairy in green, with a slightly mischievous invitation to follow the colour. The trail starts beside a glass of absinthe. Water falls onto a sugar cube, slowly loosening its edges before carrying its sweetness into the glass. That small ritual brings the scene to life: coolness, herbs, bitterness, a little sugar and a green colour that seems to deepen as you look at it. Watch that little scene for a moment; there is already plenty going on in one glass.

Peppermint and Estragon introduce a cool, aromatic clarity. Absinthe and Anise give the opening its distinctive direction, placing the minty freshness within a recognisably herbal scene. The notes are close together, so the opening has both a cool surface and green detail beneath it. You can follow the freshness into a darker part of the composition without losing the image of the glass.

Artemisia and Wormwood strengthen the herbal character. Clary Sage brings a bitter detail, while Iris adds another texture within the heart. As this part comes forward, the green impression becomes fuller and more shaded. Stay with the herbs and you can pick out their aromatic edges, their bitterness and the way they sit beside a small amount of sweetness. The scene gains a few more shadows, and a few more things to be curious about.

Vetiver and Oakmoss build the darker foundation, with Sugar left as a soft trace in the background. That measured sweetness recalls the cube in the opening scene and gives the herbal composition a point of connection from beginning to end.
