Kakee

Kakee is the name of a woman in Thai literature whose body is said to smell sweeter than any flower. Her fragrance leaves an impression on the people she meets, becoming part of a story filled with beauty, desire and a difficult fate shaped by others. The perfume begins with a question suggested by the poem: what might that extraordinary fragrance smell like if it could be experienced outside the page?

Tuberose offers an answer. Its full floral character can be creamy and sweet while keeping a surprisingly green edge. Cumin seed and mandarin arrive before the flowers, adding warm spice and bright citrus. This sharper beginning makes the softness that follows more noticeable and gives the perfume another texture beside its floral richness.

Jasmine absolute, mimosa absolute and tuberose absolute unfold together, with tuberose taking the lead. Jasmine brings a brighter floral intensity, and mimosa softens the impression of the petals. Green details remain within the rich heart, keeping the flower lively. Attention can move between its plush sweetness and the fresher, slightly sharper character beneath it.

Ambrette seed, castoreum and labdanum support the flowers with animalic and resinous warmth. They give the tuberose weight and a more intimate texture, as though the flowers have moved closer. When the mandarin becomes quieter, the floral heart sits more clearly beside the warm resin.
