ROSEN BRIDGE STORY

This poem describes part of the movie Interstellar, directed by Christopher Nolan, that inspired the creation of this perfume. The scene is when the leading actor was trapped in Rosen Bridge, finding a way back to planet earth.

Portraying a scent is challenging in a similar way to the leading actor in this movie, being trapped in space trying to contact his daughter back on earth. Selecting an aroma representing space is not easy because it is beyond our senses, but with our imagination and the cycle of stars in space, consisting of formation, explosion and death, leads us to seek for the best aroma representing each stage of the cycle. The first smell is sweet, feeling warm like a newly born star. Followed by an acidic scent of shining stars and a bitter smokey smell of the dissolved star dust.

The top note represents the message travelling through time and space back to earth with the speed of light, experiencing sweetness, sourness and bitterness, but yet also carrying warmth within the message, before landing on earth, which is the base note of this perfume.

However, the earthy note in our perfume is quite different from the movie. We have chosen the earthy scent from the peak of Doi Luang Chiang Dao during winter, smelling sweet, bitter and slightly humid. This combination brings out a more fresh feeling than the brown, dry, dusty scene in the movie. Doi Luang Chiang Dao is a well-conserved place of nature with thousands of stars shining above. This is a perfect place to linger for a message from outer space.
